Foo Fighters bandmate Taylor Hawkins was found dead in his hotel room in Colombia back in March. Kesha was one of many musicians who gave a performance in LA in memory of the late Foo Fighters drummer. Kesha has disclosed that she suffered a hemorrhaged vocal cord after her recent performance at the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert.
The 35-year-old singer, along with Miley Cyrus, Travis Barker, and Dave Grohl, attended a memorial service for Hawkins. Kesha had an on-stage wardrobe malfunction while singing David Bowie’s “Hero” on stage. The Grammy-winning musician uploaded a snapshot from the event on Instagram and addressed everything.
in the middle of my wardrobe malfunction, I decided to distract everyone from my titties falling out by singing really. Loud. And today, I found out I hemorrhaged one of my vocal cords. Soooo. I’m posting all the pics from the f-cking moment bc. This was quite a moment.
One or more blood vessels in the vocal folds can burst, filling the vocal fold with blood and perhaps creating a hemorrhagic polyp, resulting in a vocal hemorrhage. The recovery time is anticipated to be as low as seven to ten days, or even weeks, and it often necessitates moderate to total vocal rest.
Following a special UK concert at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 3, Grohl paid tribute to his “bandmate” and “brother” Hawkins at a recent performance at LA’s Forum. Along with Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, and Rami Jaffee, Hawkins played for more than 20 years in the band led by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. Check out Kesha’s post below.
