Tory Lanez has been in the spotlight from the day he got into a legal battle with Megan Thee Stallion. That wasn’t the end, though. The rapper once more made news due to an altercation with August Alsina, which seeming hurting his career. But LeBron James took the stand and co-signed the Tory Lanez album, which drew criticism.
On Friday, Tory Lanez released Sorry 4 What, a 20-track new album for his fans. Despite many people swearing off the record because of his pending shooting lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion, the album has received acclaim from his followers on social media.
LeBron James is one person who is ignoring that and focusing on the music. LeBron has always been a huge fan of rap music, and on Friday he praised the album in a Twitter reply to CuffsTheLegend.
“He never misses. That boy talented as hell man! Bangers for days!!”
Twitter was not pleased with LeBron’s reaction because they believed it betrayed some of what he had previously said about the need to protect black women. Even though Tory’s case against Meg hasn’t been proven or concluded, many believe Tory is guilty, leading some to accuse LeBron of being a hypocrite.
“What a thing to wake up and see. What a betrayal to all the Black Women who have had Lebron’s back. Wow. I’m actually speechles.”
“This tweet is a DECISION OF SUPPORT for a man who shot Megan multiple times. The lack of value we are shown as Black Women has no depths.”
Other fans have defended LeBron, saying that people don’t worry about his listening to Tory Lanez outside of the app because Twitter isn’t real life. In any case, there is outrage at the moment, and Twitter provides a forum for everyone to express it.
However, there are arguments for and against LeBron. How do you feel about the post? Share your thoughts on the Tory album in the comments. Keep checking Thirsty for more updates.
