Trevor Noah is in the headlines as of late for a few reasons. While his romance with Dua Lipa is slowly budding, he recently announced that he’s stepping off the role of hosting The Daily Show.
Noah spent seven years hosting the show, which he overtook from the legendary Jon Stewart. It turns out that the TV personality told the audience members during the filming of the episode first.
Deadline reports that the star left many of his staff members in the dark, as they found out about him leaving just when he told the audience. It might have been for dramatic effect, though it might have been unsettling for the staff members.
The outlet further reports that as per The Daily Show sources, Noah’s announcement being made directly to the audience members was absolutely “imperative.”
Trevor Noah’s timing is a bit odd, as the staff members feel. He recently celebrated getting seven Emmy nominations. He is looking forward to carrying on with his stand-up while trying different things.
