Rolling Loud Miami 2022 hit a roadblock in July when Kanye West backed out of his headlining performance at the last minute. As a result, his supporters were outraged and turned on the rapper who replaced him. Kid Cudi has now revealed why he walked off stage during his performance at Rolling Loud Miami this summer.
After Kanye backed out the festival was able to fill the spot with Kid Cudi. However, the Man On The Moon rapper quickly became frustrated with the crowd’s behavior. When disgruntled Ye supporters began tossing objects on stage, he scolded them. “If I get hit with one more f*cking thing, if I see one more f*cking thing on this f*cking stage I’m leaving,” he said.
At that point, a water bottle flew over his head, prompting Cudi to exit the stage. Cudi discussed the event with Zane Lowe on his Apple Music show earlier this week.
It’s supposed to be an unspoken agreement amongst artists and fans, that you’re supposed to give the utmost respect and not interfere with the performance.
Kid Cudi’s recent spat with Kanye West was most likely to blame for the scenario at Rolling Loud. Kanye recently chastised the former for being best friends with Pete Davidson, who was dating his ex-wife Kim Kardashian at the time. As a result, despite making two appearances on Donda 2, the latter officially announced on social media that Cudi will not be participating in Donda 2.
As previously reported, Cudi recently announced that his new album, ‘Entergalactic,’ may be his final under his musical moniker. Let’s see what happens. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
