Britney Spears’ 13-year conservatorship caused her a significant deal of stress and emotional suffering. She was eventually released from conservatorship last year and is now living the life she always desired. Recently, Britney’s mom issued a public apology for any “pain” the pop star endured during her 13-year conservatorship.
Britney Spears said in a lengthy Instagram post on Saturday that “a sincere apology would help give [her] closure” in their family dispute. Lynne Spears then begged her daughter’s forgiveness in her social media response. She pleaded, “I am soooo sorry for your pain! I have been sorry for years!” She further said, “I love you so much and miss you!”
“Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that’s hurt you!”
The “Through the Storm” author, 67, also begged the Grammy winner, 40, to “please unblock” her so that they “can speak … in person.” According to a report by PageSix, Lynne has been “trying, trying, trying” to reach Britney on the phone but has been unsuccessful, leaving her with “no alternative but to turn to social media,”
With regard to her conservatorship, Britney wrote on Friday that her family members have “no conscious whatsoever and really believe in their minds they have done nothing wrong at all.” The 13-year-long conservatorship gave her father, Jamie Spears, control over the “Toxic” singer’s personal, medical, and financial decisions from February 2008 until the patriarch’s suspension as conservator in September 2021,
In November 2021, roughly five months after Britney claimed in court that Jamie, 70, had forced her to go on tour and put her to a mental health facility against her will, a Los Angeles judge completely ended the contentious legal arrangement. We’ll be on the lookout for more updates. Stay tuned to Thirsty.
