Kanye West has frequently been in the news because of his campaign motto “Black lives matter”. However, Drake has reportedly offered his support during the criticism of his “White Lives Matter” shirt, and Kanye West is grateful for it.
On October 6th, the G.O.O.D. Music boss posted a screenshot of Drizzy commenting on one of his most recent Instagram photos, stating it “warmed his heart,” as he carried on posting his way through the issue. Before announcing that Drake’s music will be the soundtrack for the Doves’ upcoming games, Ye also called for a match between Drake’s Nike sub-label, Nocta, and his own Donda Academy basketball squad.
“EVERYONE KNOWS ME AND DRAKE HAVE HAD A RIVALRY IN THE PAST IT REALLY WARMED MY HEART TO SEE DRAKE LIKE ONE OF MY POST. WE STILL NEED THE DONDA TEAM TO PLAY NOCTA ALL DRAKE MUSIC WILL BE PLAYED AT DONDA GAMES MOVING FORWARD.”
The post that Drake liked was a screenshot of an E! News headline about Hailey Bieber, Justin Bieber’s wife, standing up for Gabriella Karefa-Johnson after she attacked Kanye West’s “White Lives Matter” shirt. “My respect for you runs deep my friend!” Hailey wrote on her Instagram Stories in support of Karefa-Johnson.
“To know is to adore you and to work with you is an honor. The most kind. The most talented. The most fun. The most chic.”
“Wait Am I canceled again??? Justin please let me know,” Kanye wrote in the caption of his post, while warning Bieber in another post, “Get your girl before I get mad.”
Following the controversy over the “White Lives Matter” shirt he wore during his Yeezy Season 9 show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday, the Chicago rap superstar posted a number of times regarding the issue. Similar to when he sparked controversy with his earlier remarks about slavery being a “choice” and his support for President Donald Trump, Kanye has dug his heels in and declined to apologize.
