Diddy Has Learned More From Losing Love After Kim Porter’s Death

Diddy’s romantic life has made headlines since he began dating Kim Porter. Although, Porter left Diddy alone and departed from the world in 2018. Diddy recently considered the passing of Kim Porter and his current love life in an interview with Teyana Taylor.

Diddy spoke with Teyana Taylor for Bumble’s Luv2SeeIt virtual series on Friday and touched on a variety of topics, including the passing of Kim Porter and his current love life. Rapper Yung Miami of the City Girls has recently been associated with Diddy.

“[We learn more from] losing love. It’s the only way you kinda know how important it is. All the heartache that anybody’s ever been through. That’s the thing that really makes you appreciate the times you actually felt that and actually received that love. When you lose that unconditional love is when you put some respect on love’s name.”

Then, Diddy confessed that he has only now had the strength to read his earlier texts to Porter. Diddy continued by saying that he hopes to find someone who will love him as Porter did.

“Just the other day, I just had got the courage to look at [Kim’s] old texts. I shouldn’t have really did that. I was like, ‘Yo, I hope I can find somebody who can love me like that again.’ I’m not giving up on love, but it’s hard. A different level of heartbreak. Whenever I see the sun, I see God and I see Kim.”

Porter and Diddy started dating in 1994 and have three children together. Despite their final breakup, they stayed close in the years before Porter’s terrible passing in 2018. The hitmaker continued that although he hasn’t given up on love, he isn’t ready for it at this time.

“I know that Kim would want somebody to love me.”
