Iggy Azalea is a rapper whose collaborations are eagerly awaited by fans. But this time, fans became very hostile to the current collaboration with Tory Lanez. Iggy Azalea responded to criticism after being triggered by fan outrage over her collaboration with Tory Lanez.
It seems Iggy Azalea’s possible new body of work has put the Australian in the hot seat. Tory Lanez, a contentious rapper and singer, revealed this week that he will oversee the production of Azalea’s upcoming album.
“The first FEMALE URBAN ALBUM i will EXECUTIVE PRODUCE will be @IGGYAZALEA Next Album !!!…. I’ve been wanting to E.P a FEMALE ARTIST ALBUM for a while … I want to RAISE THE BAR .. On the BEATS, PRODUCTION & OVERALL EXPERIENCE of FEMALE ALBUMS … this is going to be fun.”
Iggy Azalea’s alleged collaboration with Tory Lanez raised some eyebrows on social media because of the Californian rapper’s pending criminal accusations. After reportedly shooting female rap sensation Megan Thee Stallion, Lanez is now being tried for assault and possession of a handgun.
Many of Iggy Azalea’s fans questioned her decision to collaborate with a man who is alleged to have physically abused a lady. On Friday afternoon, Azalea tweeted a mysterious message that appeared to be a retort to her online detractors.
“You’re all very welcome to speak your opinion freely about me… just as long as we all have an understanding: you are having a monologue & not a discussion with me – because (respectfully) my bills remain paid without your two cents.”
Iggy Azalea and Tory Lanez are allegedly dating, according to speculations. Recently, the two entertainers were spotted dancing in the same strip club. To commemorate the release of Lanez’s album Sorry 4 What, Azalea is said to have also sent him a cake.
This year’s September 30th Sorry 4 What dropped. HitsDailyDouble predicted that Tory Lanez’s seventh album will enter the Billboard 200 list in or around the Top 10. Alone at Prom, his previous release peaked at #59. In total, Lanez has six Top 10 projects.
The End of an Era, released in 2021, is Iggy Azalea’s most recent studio album. The Billboard 200 chart for that album was unsuccessful. In My Defense from 2019 and The New Classic from 2014, both of which reached the top three, are also included in her discography.
The later album only spent one week at position 50 on the Billboard 200. However, what’s your take on Iggy working with Tory? Are you satisfied with her reply? Let us know in the comments. For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
