Things are always unpredictable, and you never know what you will encounter at any given time. Similarly, people who attend concerts, games, or parties have no idea that their enjoyable experience could turn into a tragic incident.
TMZ reports, after a flurry of gunfire rang out outside an Ohio stadium Friday night, a televised high school football game was cut to a commercial. Nobody seemed to notice until the crowd freaked out and began to scatter. As players and fans fled for their lives, the announcer declared, “We’re going to break.”
Following the gunfire, another video showed individuals jumping from the stands and taking cover on the ground. According to Toledo PD, three persons were shot outside Whitmer High School’s stadium, which was playing Central Catholic HS. The victims, one student, and two adults were not critically injured but were taken to a hospital.
Investigators reportedly arrested two individuals and were looking for two more. A motive has not been disclosed. The Washington Local Schools District issued a statement indicating that no one was wounded in the crowd and that all guests had been screened prior to the event. By the way, Central Catholic beat Whitmer 46-16 when the shooting started.
The game was canceled, with no intention of finishing it in the future. You can check out this video of two rival teams running a play on the field when at least 12 gunshots were fired nearby. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
