Jada Pinkett Smith Writing ‘No Holds Barred’ Memoir

Jada Pinkett Smith is best known for her recurring role as a supporting character in the sitcom A Different World. Her husband, Will Smith, slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars a few months back after the comedian made a joke about Pinkett Smith’s shaved head, which attracted a lot of controversies. Jada Pinkett Smith is getting ready to spill the beans in a brand-new memoir that will be published next year.

Jada Pinkett Smith recently revealed that she would release an “honest and gripping” memoir. The actress has agreed to let Fourth Estate and HarperCollins distribute her as-yet-untitled book beginning in the fall of 2023. Michelle Kane, the director of PR and publishing, promised readers in a summary that the book is a “riveting journey” that details her upbringing in Baltimore, Maryland.

According to AllHipHop, it also details her time as a “petty drug dealer,” her friendship with musician Tupac Shakur in high school, and her ascent to fame in Hollywood. Jada will also discuss her “difficult” marriage to Will Smith as well as her “joyous embrace of motherhood.” The synopsis reads the following.

In crisis at age 40, Jada recounts the excruciating choices she was forced to make to redefine her life in every way. At the heart of this powerful book are two unexpected love stories, one being Jada’s complicated marriage to Will Smith, the other being the one with herself.
