Tom Cruise is known for pulling crazy stunts without fear in order to make movies more adventurous. Followers appreciate his fearless approach to every stunt. Cruise has now come up with an idea that is figuratively out of this planet, just when you thought the success of the Top Gun sequel was the pinnacle of his movie career.

The Bourne Identity director Doug Liman and the 60-year-old “Mission: Impossible” veteran are apparently working on a concept for a movie that will reportedly be shot in space. The project was originally slated for 2020, but the Covid-19 outbreak put the project on hold. UFEG Chairman Donna Langley discussed the idea with BBC News.

I think Tom Cruise is taking us to space, he’s taking the world to space. That’s the plan. We have a great project in development with Tom … Taking a rocket up to the Space Station and shooting.

According to reports, Cruise and Liman have approached Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) with a plan that would see the actor board a rocket and travel to the International Space Station. The majority of the film would be filmed on Earth, with the hero going up to space to rescue the day. Cruise would be the first civilian to perform a space walk outside of the space station.

Cruise would be the first movie celebrity to film on the International Space Station if the project is successful. Although the move is unheard of, it’s fair to say that it’s not strange that Cruise is aiming for space, given that the Jerry Maguire star is known for his daring stunt work.
