The original lineup of Blink-182 consisting of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker, hasn’t been together performing for several years. Now the band is getting back together.
The trio announced the reunion of with a hilarious video Tuesday with a clip that has major news with a new album coming soon! A new single, “Edging,” drops Friday. It’ll be the first new track by Tom, Travis, and Mark in 10 years.
Hoppus, DeLonge, and Barker worked together until their first split in 2005. The band got back together in 2009, but in 2015, DeLonge was officially out. The group replaced Tom, calling their shows “Blink-182, with Matt Skiba.”
The band also had some trying times over the years with Barker being involved in a deadly plane crash having to get multiple surgeries and spending multiple months in a burn unit recovering. Then Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer in 2021 and is now in remission.
During Hoppus’s battle, he and Delonge mended fences. Luckily the two overcome their personal issues.
Should be a great fun tour for some great nostalgia. Rock on!
