50 Cent’s estranged relationship with his oldest son, Marquise Jackson, has recently gained a lot of public attention. The rapper’s son has been berating him for not paying child support. Marquise appeared to shift his entire narrative recently, stating that he only wants to talk to his father and that it is not about money.
TMZ reports, Marquise Jackson, 50 Cent’s son, is eager to repair their relationship, even if it means paying. However, he’s also making it clear that he doesn’t want his father’s money. In a now-viral post, Marquise stated that he meant what he said.
In the post, he mentions putting up $6,700 for Fiddy’s monthly child support payment for the one-on-one and says he’ll pay more if necessary. He claims that’s the end of the money talk. Marquise, now in his twenties, claims to have matured and believes he and 50 should be able to agree or disagree on matters without getting at each other’s throats.
Marquise believes the main obstacle between them is 50 Cent’s belief that his eldest son has grown up entitled after getting $80,000 per year in child support. Marquise says he has no idea what to expect if and when they meet. However, he believes that it will lead to a better understanding for both of them.
He has previously stated that not having his father in his life has left him with many unanswered questions. According to a source close to 50, if Marquise was genuine about healing the relationship, he would reach out privately rather than through the outlet and social media. To say he faces an uphill battle would be an understatement.
So yet, 50 Cent’s only answer has been to post the moment from “Power” in which his character murders his son. Let’s see if Marquise is able to make up with 50 in the future. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
