Jason Lee Didn’t Want Any Part Of Kanye West Running For President

Jason Lee made it clear earlier this month that he had discontinued his friendship with Kanye West after his White Lives Matter fiasco. However, Lee has recently appeared in an interview where he sounded off against Kanye West, Candace Owens, and more.

On Thursday, Jason appeared in an interview with The Hollywood Unlocked where he lashed out at West, his new posse, Candace Owens, and Antonio Brown for allegedly disclosing his phone number. “I did not understand why yesterday, I was being attacked by AB,” Lee shared.

“Antonio Brown put out my phone number, I’m changing it tomorrow. And then I put his number out too, because that’s what we do.”

Jason continued by charging the former football star with attempting to steal one of Kanye’s women and exploiting him. Regarding Kanye, Lee revealed that two weeks before the WLM controversy, he quit working with Ye. “I saw this coming,” Lee shared.

“I had access to Twitter, and once he asked me for access to his Twitter, I knew that he planned to only go back when he was going to make an announcement about running for President.”

Jason noted that despite having serious debates, he and Kanye never fought when he was working with the rapper. “I just knew that the President thing was coming, and I didn’t want to be apart of that because we have very different political views,” he said.

Ye hired Lee as his director of Media & Partnerships back in March. After taking on his new position, The Hollywood Unlocked founder said, “I think after the interview on Hollywood Unlocked, it was clear that we had an aligned vision for leveling the playing field in media.”

“Ye voiced a vision for a company he was building, and that media was an arm of that, and he felt I could be an asset.”

Despite their partnership seemed to be a good fit, Lee left the DONDA star after the controversy surrounding his questionable Yeezy season 9 design, writing in a post, “Very humble and thankful to Ye for the opportunity to work with him but that part of our relationship has come to an end.”
