Azealia Banks has recently been in the headlines as fans thought that the rapper may have lost access to her Instagram account after criticizing Nicki Minaj over her own online feud with Latto. However, the “Sea Queen” has returned to the social media platform to put an end to some of the false stories, appearing to confirm that she never lost access to her account.
The “212” artist’s account seemed to have completely vanished from Instagram on Saturday, according to Uproxx, which claimed that she appeared to have been banned from the Meta-owned platform after recommending that her Trinidadian-born rival try out a stay in rehab.
“Azealia Banks has been banned from Instagram” tweeted the @PopCrave Twitter account yesterday afternoon. Fans were heartbroken when the singer disappeared, but early on Sunday, she resumed her active online presence by posting a black screen to her Story and writing, “You thought…… lol.”
Banks also shared a repost of her performing in front of an energized crowd while sporting a bold hot pink outfit. The “Luxury” hitmaker has not yet given any additional context for her account’s abrupt removal, but knowing her, it won’t be long until she reveals all the details.
The world wasn’t too surprised by Banks’ apparent ban, especially given that she hasn’t tried to hold back when addressing celebs like Beyoncé, JAY-Z, Minaj, Lil Nas X, among numerous others. “The Barbz need to petition to get Nicki Minaj some rehab and mental health services through the Grammys music cars program,” she wrote in her most recent rant over The Pink Print artist’s dispute with Latto.
