NBA YoungBoy is progressively rising up in his musical career. He has revealed yet another project and said he intends to release 10 mixtapes in 2022, a target he’s already accomplished more than half of.
The Baton Rouge native posted a video on his YouTube channel on Sunday announcing the title of his upcoming full-length album: “Ma’ I Got a Family.” 13 to 17 new songs will be included in the album, which is expected to drop “this week,” though an exact release date has not yet been specified.
The mixtape’s cover art features NBA YoungBoy posing for the camera beside his fiancé Jazlyn Mychelle and their two children, the youngest of whom was born in September, inside their home.
YoungBoy also revealed that four more projects would be dropped before the year is out in a subsequent post. “Fun challenge ’10 tapes 1 year ??’” read a screenshot of an iPhone Note, which he captioned: “I’m finna be on 6 you think I can do it ?”
NBA YoungBoy has continued to release new music throughout the year even while battling a federal gun case in Los Angeles. Colors marked the start of his productive campaign, which also included Better than You, a full-length collaboration with DaBaby, in March, and The Last Slimeto, his fourth studio album, in August.
