The world watched for years as Britney Spears was subject to a strict conservatorship. Now that is over, but her troubles haven’t gone away. The singer’s troubled relationship with her dad, Jaime Spears has continued to make headlines.
Spears revealed in a new audio clip shared on Twitter Monday that she believes her father Jamie was ‘trying to kill’ her, and that she hopes he ‘burns’ in hell. The Grammy-winning singer, who is 40, who has 56 million Instagram followers, took aim at her father less than a year after the conclusion of the 13-year conservatorship he presided over.
The artist referred to a series of MRIs she had to undergo before she was placed in a treatment facility amid the earlier days of her conservatorship. Spears said in the audio clip,
“I had three MRIs before I went to that place, I wasn’t complaining about anything, I was just told I had to go, it was my dad and I had no rights at the time, so I basically had to,”
Britney Spears recalled being placed in a tight MRI machine for 30 minutes as a youngster, and she was placed in the MRI machine for an hour at a time during her conservatorship. Spears said, “To me, the whole thing didn’t make sense – the isolation, the nurses, the vials of blood, the constant communication,” adding that she suspected she was being investigated for cancer that her family and team were not telling her about. Spears followed up on her sentiments in a series of tweets in which she said that she felt those who had subject her to abusive conditions have escaped legal consequences.
