Kanye West has ignited widespread outrage with his nonstop anti-Semitic rants and inflammatory comments. It eventually led to JP Morgan Chase cut its ties with the rapper and his clothing brand Yeezy Inc. Kanye is hardly the first rapper to make anti-Semitic comments. Ice Cube, who is well-known for his anti-Jewish sentiments, denied inspiring the Chicago rapper.
Ye was a guest on the latest episode of Drink Champs, where he doubled down on his anti-Semitic remarks. Ice Cube was dragged into the whole controversy since fans speculated that the L.A. rapper was source to Kanye’s antics.
Cube took to Twitter and urged fans to leave his name out of all the drama. He also denied being an inspiration for Kanye’s antisemitism. He said he doesn’t even know what Ye meant by his statements.
I hate that my name was dragged into this Drunk Champs bullshit. I don’t know what Ye meant by his statements, you’re gonna have to ask him. I didn’t put the batteries in his back. Please leave my name out of all the antisemitic talk. I’m not antisemitic and never have been.
Ye has received a great deal of criticism from fans and celebrities alike for a slew of inflammatory statements he’s made in recent weeks. He unveiled ‘White Lives Matter’ shirts at the YZYSZN 9 fashion show in Paris, which sparked their own firestorm.
