Meghan Markle Claims She Was ‘Reduced To A Bimbo’ While Working On ‘Deal Or No Deal’

Meghan Markle appeared on “Deal or No Deal” from 2006 to 2007, before moving on to “Suits” on USA Network in 2011. In May 2018, she married Prince Harry and left the series and acting all together. Meghan recently recalled what she had to go through on ‘Deal or No Deal.’

Meghan Markle left her job as a briefcase girl on “Deal or No Deal” in 2006 because she thought she was being “reduced to a bimbo.” She stated that she was “really grateful” to have a job that paid her expenses. However, it was just that the part had “little substance.”

“I ended up quitting the show. I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage,” she said on the latest episode of her podcast, “Archetypes.”

I didn’t like feeling forced to be all looks and little substance, and that’s how it felt for me at the time being reduced to this specific archetype: the word ‘bimbo.’

In the episode, Markle spoke with Paris Hilton. She reflected on her college studies in international relations and riding in a motorcade with a politician in Argentina and concluded that the work did not correspond with her principles. “I was grateful for the job, but not about how it made me feel, which was not smart,” she said.
