WWE RAW superstar Dominik Mysterio has grown into his own since collaborating with Judgment Day. The heel change at Clash at the Castle 2022 has revived the momentum of his babyface character, which had grown stale. Diamond Dallas Page would want to see Dominik Mysterio booked as The Rock, obliterating everyone in his path.
The former SmackDown Tag Team Champion defeated AJ Styles on this week’s WWE RAW to earn probably his biggest singles victory to date. Diamond Dallas Page said in the most recent episode of his podcast DDP Snake Pit that Dominik Mysterio should continue to have strong bookings in the promotion.
The 25-year-old, in the opinion of the WWE Hall of Famer, needs to be portrayed similarly to The Rock in the early stages of his wrestling career, when he worked as Rocky Maivia. DDP indicated that if WWE booked him in this manner, it would increase fan dislike of Dominik and cement his role as a heel.
If I was booking, I would have Dominik beat anyone that he gets in front of. Because if you push him like that, they [the fans] are going to hate him even more. A la The Rock. Remember when they gave him that big push as Rocky Maivia? People hated him! [Now] Rock is the most beloved human being on the planet right now. He’s not the People’s Champion, he’s the World’s Champion.
