Charles Barkley Says LA Lakers Are Sucking The Life Out Of Russel Westbrook

Russel Westbrook and Los Angeles Lakers aren’t compatible with each other and it’s been apparent for a while. Russ recently blamed his hamstring injury on Lakers coach Darvin Ham, which only showed their strained relationship. Now Charles Barkley has also addressed the situation.

Barkley spoke about Westbrook after last night’s game against the Golden State Warriors. He said the Lakers are essentially sucking the life from him and that it’s time for the team to trade him. He blamed the Lakers for all the drama surrounding Russ.

You know how I feel about Russell Westbrook I admire him. I respect him. It’s time for the Lakers to move him. They have taken all his joy out of life and basketball. It’s not about the numbers. Barkley’s assessment may be harsh, but fans agree with it. The Hall of Fame piece that doesn’t quite fit in was on show in the Lakers’ 123-109 opening-night loss to the Golden State Warriors. Fans on Twitter are no longer denying the obvious that it’s the right time for the trade.
