Lil Baby is a name that needs no introduction. The rap industry is aware of his contributions and his approach to rap music. However, he recently appeared in an interview where he responded to rumors that a conflict between himself and Migos is developing.
During an interview with Posted on the Corner, the Atlanta rapper clarified all the rumors about his relationship with Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset. Lil Baby stated that he has no problems with the Culture trio, and that the reason he hasn’t talked about it before is that he doesn’t want to fuel any rumors that may suggest otherwise.
When asked if there are any “underlying issues” between himself and Migos, he replied, “Hell nah! I don’t even want to comment on that type of stuff. I feel like when I comment on something, it makes it bigger.”
“First of all, I really don’t see shit on the internet. People send me shit and I be wanting to comment, but then I feel like that’s just gonna make it even more… But they know I ain’t got nothing going on with them.”
In 2020, after an alleged confrontation between Offset and Lil Baby’s 4PF gang, which Akademiks claimed was caused by Baby moving up the Quality Control Music hierarchy, the Atlanta-based label both artists are signed to, there were rumors of a split between Lil Baby and Migos.
Offset’s lawsuit against Quality Control for his solo catalog this past summer seemed to spark things, leading to what seemed to be a subtle response from the “Drip Too Hard” hitmaker and label CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas. Pee addressed the rapper in an Instagram video that was uploaded soon after Offset filed the complaint, saying, “Aye, Baby, read what it say on the back.” Lil Baby replied: “Show must go on!”
The reported 2021 affair between Lil Baby and Saweetie, Quavo’s ex-girlfriend, has also come up recently after the Migos rapper made a reference to it on his collaborative album with Takeoff, Only Built For Infinity Links. Stay tuned to Thirsty for the latest updates.
