Even though Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera had been co-stars for several years, Jackass Forever saw a gap between them. However, Knoxville recently appeared in an interview where talked about his current relationship with his former co-star.
Johnny Knoxville recently appeared in an interview with Variety, where he opened up about his relationship with former Jackass co-star Bam Margera after their public falling out. The two don’t seem to be as close as they once were, but Knoxville is clear that, in the end, he only wants what’s best for Margera, who has been battling addiction for a long time.
“I haven’t spoken to Bam in about a year and a half, give or take six months. [“Jackass” director] Jeff Tremaine, Steve-O and I had a face-to-face meeting with Bam and his wife, trying to figure out how to get him help. Then we had a Zoom as a group not long after that, and that was the last time I talked to him. It boils down to: I love Bam. I know that a lot has happened. I just want him to get well for himself and his family. I love the guy, and I want him to get well and stay well.”
Margera signed a “Wellness Agreement” with Paramount, which included regular drug testing, to assure his sobriety throughout the film’s production. Margera was fired from Jackass Forever after testing positive for Adderall. He then filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Knoxville, Paramount Pictures, and director Spike Jonze, among other parties.
Margera claimed that Knoxville knew he took Adderall frequently to manage his attention deficit condition and that he was forced into signing the contract. Stay tuned to Thirsty for the latest updates.
