Zack Snyder was instrumental in the success of the DC Extended Universe when Man of Steel was released in 2013. Nearly a decade after that movie, fans are calling for Snyder’s return yet again. The campaign has gained momentum since the release of Black Adam.
Snyder also directed Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, the second film in the DCEU. The director was then assigned to the 2017 project, Justice League, but due to a tragic personal loss, he stepped down to be replaced by Avengers’ director Joss Whedon.
At the time fans demanded the release of Snyder’s original version of the film, and the request was eventually granted when Warner Bros. released Zack Snyder’s Justice League in 2021. Fast-forward to today the fans are campaigning with new hashtags, #RestoreTheSnyderVerse and #BringBackZackSnyder.
This follows up with the DCEU’s latest film, Black Adam’s release, where Henry Cavill appeared in the post-credits scene. Despite The Rock nailing his part in the movie, it has received mixed reviews so far. Snyder has become a trending topic in the middle of all this. Check out the tweets below.
