Candace Owens Threatens To Sue George Floyd’s Family Over Causing Her ‘Distress’

Candace Owens and Kanye West have had their ups and downs over the years largely due to their respective stance on politics. When Kanye West accused Kim Kardashian of ‘kidnapping’ their kids for a birthday party, he found an unlikely ally in Candace Owens. Candace mockingly suggested that she should sue Floyd’s loved ones for causing her “distress” after they filed a lawsuit against Ye, calling it “frivolous.”

The loved ones of George Floyd are embroiled in yet another scandal, years after they went through a loss that generated widespread outrage. After former officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on Floyd’s neck for about nine minutes, the cameraphone footage of Floyd’s life ending went viral. People rushed to the streets to protest an unfair system after hearing Floyd wail and claim he was having trouble breathing.

Others, meanwhile, believed Floyd’s demise was inevitable. Despite Chauvin’s conviction for his acts, Candace Owens has always backed the use of excessive force by the police. Recently, while wearing White Lives Matter shirts to promote their restored connection on social media, she and Kanye West both said contentious things about Floyd’s passing.

Owens and West claim that fentanyl was to blame for Floyd’s death rather than neck compression. The victim’s family has filed a $250 million lawsuit against the rapper for his comments. There were underlying threats that Owens might be the next, but she proposed that she be the one to sue Floyd’s family.

I’m also sick of frivolous lawsuits. You know, if this is actually considered credible, if you can sue somebody because you’re feeling ’emotionally distressed’ because of them going out and saying things, well then, I think that I have grounds to sue George Floyd’s estate.

The remarks were made last week on her podcast as she charged Floyd’s family with bringing the case in an effort to gain attention. “I have grounds to sue George Floyd’s family for doing this little PR stunt. It’s causing me a ton of distress. I feel angry and I feel upset with the fact that I am fighting for Black America to be freed from the lies, while these people are fighting to keep them in the dark.” Stay tuned as we will try to keep you updated on developments in this story.
