The Original Jigsaw Is Returning In The Next Saw Film

The original Saw movie first introduced Jigsaw to the audience. Jigsaw was a serial killer who captures his victims and tests their will to survive by placing them in life-threatening games. The movie and the character became a huge hit. Sadly, Jigsaw was killed off the show in Saw 3.

Now, IGN reports that the Jigsaw killer Toby Bell will be back in the next movie, as he will reprise the role of John Kramer in the next Saw movie. This movie was originally thought to be a sequel and was announced earlier this year. However, it seems that this might be a prequel or a spin-off, given the fact that Jigsaw was killed of the show during Saw 3.

“What a thrill to be reuniting with Tobin,” said Saw producers, Mark Burg and Oren Koules. “His performance as John Kramer is part of the magic that made this franchise a phenomenon and his character is an active part of this film.”

The upcoming Saw movie is going to be directed by Kevin Greutert. Very little is known about the project. For now, we know that the film is moving into production later this month and will probably hit theaters by next Halloween.
