Elvis Presley is still regarded as one of the most influential musicians to have ever graced the stage. It appears, the home where Elvis and Priscilla Presley honeymooned is about a get a new owner. Someone prepared to spend a hefty amount to live like the King of Rock and Roll.
Sources shared with TMZ that the Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway in Palm Springs has accepted an offer. The home was listed for $5.65 million earlier this month. Reportedly, the seller accepted an offer Thursday, though the sale isn’t yet complete.
The 4-bedroom house is famous because Elvis leased it for a year in 1966 for $21,000 — incredibly inexpensive in 2022, but a small fortune in 1966. Elvis and Priscilla were intended to marry on May 1, 1967, at the property, but after the press learned of the wedding plans, they changed course and went to Sin City for a traditional Vegas wedding.
The home is steeped in history. Lisa Marie Presley was born precisely 9 months after Elvis and Priscilla’s wedding, so they were certainly kept busy in their Palm Springs home after their wedding. The 4,695 square foot home has rock walls, a floating fireplace, and terrazzo flooring and, of course, a gigantic backyard pool with a view of the mountains.
The property, famously dubbed the “House of Tomorrow,” is a PS landmark. It is known to attract Elvis fans, visitors, and architecture aficionados. Marc Sanders of Compass holds the listing. Meanwhile, you can check out a few pictures of the property below.
