One of the more surprising additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is The Guardians of the Galaxy. The team became a fun addition to pop culture with appearances in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Thor: Love and Thunder, along with their first two films. Now the team is getting a holiday special.
A trailer for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special was released online today and it looks like a lot of fun. The first Christmas special of any kind for the MCU.
Based on the plot that was described in the trailer, it looks like Peter Quill(Chris Pratt) still mourning the loss of Gamora(Zoe Saldana) during the holiday season and the team decides to cheer him up for a Christmas present. Then the typical wackiness from the Guardians kicks in and it involves Kevin Bacon!
The special presentation stars Pratt, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and Kevin Bacon portraying himself.
The holiday special will be released in time for the holidays on November 25. Should be a great time for fans of the MCU and their families.
Do you think the holiday special will be a timeless classic? Sound off in the comments!
