Kanye West has dug himself a deeper hole in recent weeks with anti-Semitic outbursts, flimsy allegations regarding race and George Floyd’s death, and his use of the r-word to refer to Vice President Joe Biden. Kanye’s actions have sparked outrage, concern, and compassion on social media. In an Instagram Story post about religion, Hailey recently addressed Kanye West’s anti-Semitic outburst.
In a lengthy Instagram Story statement, Hailey Bieber addressed Kanye West’s anti-Semitism. “You cannot believe in God and be anti-Semitic. You cannot love God and support or condone hate speech,” the model wrote. “To love God is to love people. ALL people,” she continued
Bieber also shared a graphic reading, “I support my friends and the Jewish people.” The rapper was chastised earlier this month for making anti-Semitic slurs, which resulted in the suspension of his Twitter and Instagram accounts. In interviews with Tucker Carlson and “Drink Champs” host N.O.R.E., the Grammy winner has reiterated his views.
Last Wednesday, when asked by Piers Morgan if he felt “sorry” for his anti-Semitic comments, the songwriter said, “Absolutely not.” In terms of being canceled, the Yeezy creator added, “I ain’t losing no money. … We here, baby, we ain’t going nowhere.” Earlier this month, the record producer was also chastised for wearing “White Lives Matter” t-shirts to his Paris Fashion Week show.
At the moment, Bieber, Gigi Hadid, and other celebrities turned to social media to criticize West, and the American Music Award winner replied. “Wait Am I canceled again???” West wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post, asking Justin Bieber to “let [him] know.”
The fashion designer referred to Justin’s wife as “nose job Hailey Baldloose” in another post. She and the “Baby” singer have chosen to sever connections with West following his online slander. West went “too far,” a source told TMZ, claiming that his comments “hurt” the couple.
Adidas is the most recent company to discontinue its business ties with the “Stronger” rapper, including Balenciaga and Vogue. Let’s see whether Kanye ever apologizes for his behavior, which seems unlikely. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
