Athletes have long been known to mock fans for their inexplicable behavior sometimes. Aaron Rodgers is no exception to this. This time he took shots at Packers fans for their “angry” rants after a loss.
The Washington Commanders recently defeated the Green Bay Packers. After the game, Rodgers made certain remarks during his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. The host informed him of the Twitter rumor that Rodgers shouldn’t smile following the defeat.
Rodgers called the packers fans “bitter and angry” for whining about the loss. The two-time MVP went on to say that his remarks were meant for his own team’s fans, not his colleagues. Regarding Packer Nation, Rodgers remarked, “Well, they can say whatever they want.”
Nothing is going to sway that opinion, I don’t think. I can come out here and extol the virtues of my team and the hope for the future and excitement about the present, but I think people who are bitter and angry, they kinda want to sit in it and wallow in it a little bit, if you will. Like a pig in s-t, ya know? Just enjoy it for a bit. Let it wash all over them before they’re ready to get washed off.
Rodgers’ next Sunday night game is on the road against the AFC’s top-ranked Buffalo Bills. The Packers were 10.5-point underdogs to start the week. In his 15 years as the starting quarterback for the team, this was the largest point differential Rodgers had to contend with.
Green Bay would fall to 3-5 with a defeat. If the Chicago Bears manage to defeat the Dallas Cowboys, this may cause them to lose their lead over them in the NFC North Division. If things go further wrong, the Packers may find themselves 3.5 games out of the lead halfway through the season.
Given the rocky start to their campaign, Rodgers hopes to bounce back with the team. For more updates on Aaron Rodgers, stay tuned to Thirsty.
