Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Has Been Nominated For Six People’s Choice Awards

Dwayne Johnson is a household name in Hollywood. The Rock has established himself as one of the best entertainers in the world. He has now been nominated for multiple People’s Choice Awards for his recent endeavors.

Dwayne is nominated for multiple People’s Choice Awards for a couple of his ventures. DC’s Black Adam and his hilarious sitcom Young Rock have helped him get all the nominations. The Rock has racked up a whopping 6 number of nominations for the 2022 edition of the award show.

The Rock’s nominated for Action Movie of 2022, Male Movie Star of 2022, and Action Movie Star of 2022 for Black Adam. He’s also up for Comedy Show of 2022, Male TV Star of 2022, and Comedy TV Star of 2022 for Young Rock. Given the hype and his popularity, he might win them all.

Black Adam’s strong first weekend at the box office is the talk of the town. It easily topped the domestic weekend box office with $67 million. That’s Dwayne Johnson’s biggest non-Fast & Furious debut weekend ever.

In terms of DC Films-related launches, it is bigger than Shazam! and any other non-Batman releases. Black Adam also got reviews closer to Justice League on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB than Wonder Woman. The people seem to gravitate towards Dwyane thus explaining those nominations.

For now, the future looks relatively bright for the new DC Universe blockbuster. It’s safe to say that The Rock will have his hand on some of the awards with this massive hit of a movie.
