WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is undoubtedly one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever graced a pro wrestling ring. The Olympic Gold Medalist has accomplished more things in one year than many pro wrestlers did in their entire careers. That being said, Kurt Angle has duked it out with many top stars in WWE, the best of whom being Brock Lesnar. As fans know, Lesnar and Angle share a deep friendship and it seems Lesnar even kissed Kurt Angle on the lips backstage in WWE,
Kurt Angle feuded with Brock Lesnar back in 2003 and had numerous instant classic matches against The Beast Incarnate. Their rivalry developed into a solid friendship, where both stars weren’t afraid to let loose and let out their comical side from time to time.
During a SmackDown episode in 2003, Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle shared the ring and competed in a match. Afterwards, Lesnar ended up kissing Angle straight on the lips by baiting Angle with a handshake. While speaking on his podcast, Kurt Angle talked about the aforementioned kiss with Lesnar and his thoughts right after the kiss.
“Oh, I loved it, of course (laughs)! No! You know what? We got done wrestling, Brock and I were having a really good program together, and I think we were both babyfaces at that particular time. We just got done doing a show; we killed it. We had an incredible match. I remember Brock; he put his hand out to shake my hand and of course, me being the babyface, shook his hand. Then he put his hands out like he wanted to hug, and we hugged. And then he grabbed my face and kissed me right on the lips.
It shocked the sh** out of me, man! Of all people to do it, Brock Lesnar? Like, he never does this kind of stuff, so it was like, ‘Does he really like me?’ I started questioning if Brock really liked me or not!”
Angle also previously squashed rumors that he beat up Brock Lesnar. WWE is also planning a huge match for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39. We’ll have to see when Lesnar will make his return to WWE television. Till then, fans will simply have to wait for Lesnar’s return.
