Daniel Craig left the role of iconic spy James Bond after 2021’s No Time To Die. The creators of the James Bond franchise are still confused about who they want to play Bond next. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is now the newest candidate in the race.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is well known for his roles in “Kick-Ass” and, more recently, “Bullet Train.” According to the Daily Mail and Puck News, the British actor met with Barbara Broccoli in September. Aaron even did a screen test that went well.
The screen test was part of a full-fledged audition Aaron supposedly gave for Barbara and co. The team was highly impressed with what they saw. They had Taylor-Johnson do the iconic gun barrel opening sequence, which is obviously a big thing.
According to TMZ, Aaron is currently the front-runner, but nothing is official yet. This is a significant change from the news that broke over the weekend, when “Emily in Paris” star Lucien Laviscount was thought to be in the race and regarded a favorite.
There have been a number of names floated around in recent months, but Aaron is the first to go on camera to try his hand at Bond. He truly has a Bond vibe. Keep an eye on Thirsty for more.
