Jeremy Renner is a very talented actor and musician, who is universally known for his role as Hawkeye in the Avengers franchise. Unfortunately, Renner is not having the best of times right now as he was recently involved in a horrific snowplow accident. In fact, Renner was actually run over by the 14,330 pound snowplow.
Reports stated that the Hawkeye actor was injured “after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow. He was also said to be in “critical but stable condition.”
According to Page Six, Jeremy Renner was “run over” by an “extremely large piece of snow-removal equipment” weighing “at least 14,3330 pounds,” as revealed by local authorities.
Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said during a press conference that the actor’s PistenBully was “stuck” when Renner tried to “retrieve” the snowcat and “get [it] moving.” While he was “successful,” he was off of the machinery and “speaking to a family member” when the PistenBully subsequently “started to roll.” It was said that he got run over by the snowplow.
“In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempt[ed] to get back into the driver’s seat of the PistenBully. Based on our investigation, it’s at this point that Mr. Renner [was] run over.”
The “extremely large piece of snow-removal equipment … started to roll” when Renner was out of it. The sheriff noted that Renner was not believed “to be impaired at all” during the “tragic accident” and foul play is not suspected.
It is also to be noted that the actor is facing extensive injuries. Renner has also broken his silence following the accident. We will keep you updated on his health status once we learn more.
