Batista has worked hard to establish himself as one of the greatest Superstars in WWE’s history, but his time in WWE was not always a bed of roses. The Animal certainly saw great success during his time in the company, as he went on to become a multi-time World Champion and a bona fide future WWE Hall Of Famer. That being said, Batista was involved in a few backstage fights during his time in WWE and it seems he was once legitimately beaten up in the OVW locker room.
Batista signed with WWE back in 2000, as part of the company’s development system Ohio Valley System. He spent about two years there, where he worked with the likes of John Cena, Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton and shared the locker room with them.
While speaking to The Hannibal TV, former OVW manager Kenny Bolin talked about Batista and OVW wrestler Slick Robbie D. Bolin revealed that Batista was beaten up by Robbie D.
“I didn’t get to see it personally. Slick Robbie D was, he can handle himself pretty good… He was probably the greatest athlete in the history of OVW. The only other one who could’ve competed with him was Shelton Benjamin. [Did Slick Robbie D put the beat down on Batista?] Everyone I heard that saw it said Batista never had a f**king chance.”
Batista was also spotted backstage during last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. Batista is also likely to get his WWE Hall Of Fame induction this year. We’ll have to see whether Batista will make his return to the company in the future.
