Chris D’Elia is certainly one of the better known comedians in the business right now. However, he has become a controversial figure after he was accused of predatory behavior. Now it seems one of his upcoming comedy shows have been canceled after new misconduct allegations were meted against him.
According to Rolling Stone, his upcoming comedy show at Hollywood Improv has quietly been canceled. This comes a few weeks after he faced new accusations of sexual misconduct and predatory behavior.
He was scheduled to perform at the venue on Jan. 11 as part of his country-wide tour that kicks off on Jan. 7 and runs through mid-May. However, on Tuesday, the date was removed from both Hollywood Improv and D’Elia’s website without explanation.
A Hollywood Improv staffer confirmed the cancelation to Rolling Stone, but no reason was provided. Back in 2020, D’Elia was accused of using his celebrity to seek out teenage girls and young women to request nude photographs, and making unwanted sexual advances.
The allegations gained steam last year in December after Kyle Anderson released a YouTube documentary. The comedian denied the allegations and claimed that they were all consensual. Regardless, he is currently getting canceled in general and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
