Since October 2022, Elon Musk has been in charge of Twitter. A number of top executives, including the boss, Parag Agrawal, have reportedly been fired. Now one of the last remaining executives has also left the company following the takeover.

Behnam Rezaei was Twitter’s head of product and engineering. On Tuesday, he used the opportunity to express his feelings about leaving. Working with Twitter has been an “absolute honor,” he said as he has loved interacting with the personnel.

“It has been an absolute honor working with so many amazing people in the last 5.5 years. It was wilder than I could have ever imagined with so many stories and unforgettable moments.”

In August 2017, Rezaei began working for Twitter as its senior director of engineering. In November 2022, he was promoted to lead product engineering, according to his LinkedIn profile. Rezaei did not clarify whether he quit or was laid off in his tweets.

Elon Musk has fired thousands of Twitter employees since he purchased the firm in late October. However, some people have voluntarily left. Many former workers criticized how Musk had altered the workplace culture and expressed concern for the site’s future.

Rezaei is just one of many senior executives who have left the company amid a flight of long-tenured workers. Katie Marcotte, a ten-year employee of Twitter and acting head of human resources, made her resignation known. Some Twitter users hypothesized that Marcotte might have opted to continue working for the business through the severance period.

There have been a lot of changes in the short time Elon Musk has been in charge. It’s yet to be how Twitter grows into the billionaire’s vision while also maintaining great employee relations.
