Dana White is known to be a very divisive figure in the MMA world for a variety of reasons. This is mostly because of the way he has handled the issue of UFC fighters getting paid proper money. That being said, White has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons after he slapped his wife on New Year’s Eve. White has now been canceled by many and it seems Sean O’Malley feels bad for White.
As previously reported, Dana White and his wife got physical with each other on New Year’s Eve, shocking fans at the Cabo San Lucas nightclub. People simply did not realize just how serious this incident would turn out and the ramifications of the slap fight heard across the world.
In fact, TBS ended up pulling Dana White’s Power Slap show. While speaking on his YouTube channel, Sean O’Malley made it clear that he feels bad for Dana White after the slapping incident.
“I feel bad for Dana. His wife slapped him. That is rude and it deserves a slapping back. I don’t know it’s a tricky one. Treat people how you want to be treated. I don’t think that he would have ever done that sober, probably not. I would assume sober, no drinks, she slaps him, I don’t think his initial reaction is to slap back.
“When that alcohol’s flowing, I’ve never hit a girl, but I’ve been blacked out and I’ve done things that I can’t believe I’ve done. What if that was his like, ‘f***!’ I don’t know. I don’t think it was right. Obviously, you should not hit, especially a little girl like that.
No, it’s not right. They’re going to lose a lot of business. It sucks but man, it’s hard to say… He’s definitely going to lose money, get a lot of negative feedback and gain some haters.”
White’s incident also ended up sparking an outrage, among other things. Dana White is truly suffering the consequences of his actions and he has no one to blame but himself for what is going on in his life right now. That being said, we’ll have to see whether White will be forgiven for what he did.
