Shaquille O’Neal Wants A Tag Team Match Against Paul Wight In AEW

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has cemented himself as one of the greatest players in basketball history. He is also a huge pro wrestling fan, having made appearances in both WWE and AEW. In fact, it seems Shaquille O’Neal hasn’t given up on a match with Paul Wight, as he recently pitched a huge tag team match with Wight.

Interestingly enough, Paul Wight previously made it clear that he wants the dream match between the two to take place in AEW. The likelihood of the match is now certainly high from the looks of it.

Diamond Sheik paid a visit to Shaquille O’Neal at his home and showed off the new Billion Dollar Belt, as he showed off on Twitter. In the video, O’Neal made it clear that he wants a tag team match with Paul Wight in AEW.

“You know who I am. I’m the man who beat Cody Rhodes. You’re lucky you’re training with Cody. Anyways, I want to deliver two messages. Number one, nobody messes with The Diamond Sheik, and two, to present this new Diamond Championship belt.

Cody, whoever else wants it, Big Show. As a matter of fact, oh no, he’s in LA. Tell you what, Diamond Sheik and Shaq vs. Big Show and whoever else you want. Let’s go, AEW.”

A match between AEW star Paul Wight and O’Neal was first teased back in 2009 on an episode of Monday Night RAW. After that, O’Neal and Paul Wight had another interaction at WrestleMania 32, where they competed in the Andre The Giant Battle Memorial. It remains to be seen when the two behemoths will face off against each other as it will definitely be a match for the ages.
