Steven Spielberg Has Never Been Stoned But Still Likes Seth Rogen’s Movies

Steven Spielberg is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in Hollywood as he has truly changed the industry in many ways. His accolades include winning three Oscars and making films such as Jaws, Jurassic Park, E.T. to just name a few. His latest film, the semi-autobiographical The Fabelmans, features Seth Rogen, who has always been open about his love for marijuana. It seems Spielberg enjoys Rogen’s works even though he has never been stoned before.

Steven Spielberg and Seth Rogen were present at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Thursday. While speaking to Variety at the event, Steven Spielberg was asked which of Rogen’s “stoner movies” was his favorite. Spielberg stated that he enjoys Rogen’s works even though he has never been stoned before.

Well, having never been stoned, I don’t see them as stoner movies,” he joked, Rogen standing next to him. “I see them as movies about a police officer giving solid, sound advice to an impressionable person.”

For those who do not get it, Steven Spielberg referenced Superbad, co-written by Rogen, in which he and Bill Hader play dumb police officers more interested in getting drunk and hanging with an underage kid than being police officers.

We will have to wait and see what Steven Spielberg will be producing next. That being said, we also wonder whether Spielberg and Seth Rogen will work together on more films in the future.
