Dr. Dre is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished rappers in the history of the hip-hop world. His influence in the entire genre is simply unparalleled, dating back to his days in the NWA. His songs continue to be played even now. However, it seems one of his most iconic songs was used without his permission recently.
He has worked together with several rappers during his long career. However, he never got to collab with the Notorious B.I.G, even if they were close to making a collab. This will forever disappoint fans no matter what.
Georgia U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene took to Twitter and uploaded an almost-two minute clip, which featured her mostly shows her walking the halls of Congress.
The video ends with footage of the celebration that took place when McCarthy was appointed the new Speaker, while Dr. Dre’s classic ‘Still Dre’ played in the background. Dr. Dre spoke to TMZ and slammed Greene for using the song without his permission.
I don’t license my music to politicians, especially someone as divisive and hateful as this one
Dre isn’t the first hip-hop artist to recently call out a politician for using their song without permission. It seems this unfortunate trend will be continuing for the time being and fans simply can’t tolerate this either.
