Rob Gronkowski Teases Possible Chances of NFL Comeback

Rob Gronkowski is more than just a football player; he’s an entertainer on the field. When not on the field, he makes sure that fans love whatever shenanigans he pulls off. He has now teased whether he wants to return to football or not in true “Gronk” fashion.

Gronk joined Babcock and Mojo on the “TMZ Sports” TV show and discussed his future plans on playing the sport. When asked a question on whether he would return to the field, he replied that “there’s a chance.” He’s not sure, however, certain exceptional contracts can certainly attract Gronkowski back.

“Like Dumb and Dumber, baby. You’re sayin’ there’s a chance. You never know. What if someone wanted to throw the whole salary cap at me, baby, or half of the salary cap, then you gotta think about it. Throw me some quarterback money. Then you’re talking, so there’s always a possibility.”

Gronkowski also put down any notions of him coming back immediately as he’s enjoying his time off. He said he’s not particularly following too much of football and only certain game weeks concern him the most. Rob moreover mentioned not going back to football if he’s just “thinking about it.”

“Ya know I really didn’t have the itch. I just had a couple thoughts throughout the 17 weeks of football. It was about week 10, week 11, week 12, right around there where I was thinking about it, but I really never got the itch. It was just a couple of thoughts.”

The former NFL tight end is in his second stint of retirement. He called it quits after the 2018 season. It was the same season that Tom Brady moved south to Tampa Bay to quarterback the Buccaneers.

It should be also noted that Rob won’t be playing in the Super Bowl. He’ll be in Arizona, throwing one of the biggest and best parties of the week namely Gronk Beach. In addition to Rob, 21 Savage, Diplo, Lil Jon, and other performers will be at Talking Stick Resort on February 11 for the event.

Could Gronkowski join his old team yet again? Or could he make a surprise return on a different team in the future? We’ll find out once it’s time for Gronk to come on the pitch again.
