Eddie Murphy Roasts Will Smith During The Golden Globes

The Oscar Awards ceremony last year became memorable for all the wrong reasons. This is because Will Smith shockingly slapped Chris Rock following a joke about Smith’s wife. The incident is still being talked about to this day, as Eddie Murphy roasted Smith during the Golden Globes.

Will Smith has been banned from attending the Oscars for the next 10 years. Will Smith finally apologized for the slap, almost ten months after it happened. Many believe Smith deserves the ban.

During Tuesday night’s Golden Globes ceremony, Eddie Murphy thanked his friends, family, and colleagues for his Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award. He then decided to roast many people, including Will Smith.

The legendary comedian and actor offered young talents some choice advice. His words of wisdom included – “Keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out of your f***** mouth.”

There is a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, longevity, and peace of mind… and I followed it my whole career,” he said, “Pay your taxes, mind your business and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out your mouth.”

Will wasn’t the only one who ended up at the butt of a joke. This is because Tracy roasted Eddie for having 10 kids, telling the comedian, “Your pullout game is weak!” Murphy shares eldest son Eric with ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely, has five children with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell, a daughter with Mel B of the Spice Girls, and son Christian with ex Tamara Hood. He and Paige share daughter Izzy, 6, and son Max, 4.

Will Smith’s apology was also believed to be too little, too late as well. Netflix pumped break on the upcoming projects in which Smith was involved. Regardless, Smith will never do such a thing ever again.
