Fans Believes Colin Farrell Was Trying Shoot His Shot With Ana De Armas At The Golden Globes

Ana de Armas is no doubt one of the most attention-grabbing actresses in all of Hollywood right now. She has acted in a number of movies, each of which has increased her fame. However, it seems that Collin Farrell is the most recent person who’s mesmerized by her charm. At least that’s what fans think.

During Tuesday night’s telecast, Farrell took home the Golden Globe for Best Actor for his role in “The Banshees of Inisherin.” The award was presented by De Armas, who was nominated for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in “Blonde.”

After receiving his trophy, Farrell took a moment to praise de Armas for her performance in the movie. However, many fans believe that Farrell’s gushing about the Cuban actress was not really praise but rather the actor was trying to shoot his shot.

“Ana, I thought you were extraordinary,” Farrell said, looking over at de Armas, 24. “I cried myself to sleep the night that I saw your film, ‘Blonde.’ I cried myself to sleep. Something to do with the music as well, that played at the moment where the shot opens and you just see her ankles at the edge of the bed. It messed me up so bad.”

Many viewers took the actor’s apparent compliment of de Armas’ acting skills in the movie as more than that and some took to Twitter to share their viewpoints on it. “I just KNEW Colin was gonna shoot his shot at Ana he is so ran through 😭,” one user wrote.

“Colin Ferrell said Ana de Armas, I HAVE ONE SHOT AND I WILL TAKE IT NOW,” another user tweeted, while a third one wrote, “Colin Farrell is like us all: he had one clear shot at Ana de Armas, and he took it/did his best. Respect.”

The film “Blonde” is based on Joyce Carol Oates’ book of the same name. De Armas previously stated that she didn’t want to “imitate” Monroe on screen, but rather wanted to convey the “Some Like It Hot” actress’s “feelings, her journey, her insecurities, and her voice” through her acting.
