Robert Downey Jr. Sporting a New Hairstyle with Receding Red Hair

Robert Downey Jr has undergone a dramatic physical transformation for his upcoming role in the HBO spy series “The Sympathizer” and now he totally looks unrecognizable.

The actor was spotted on the show’s set in Los Angeles on this past Wednesday, wearing a curly red wig with a receding hairline, as well as bleached eyebrows, which added to his shocking change of appearance.

Downey prepped for his new look in October when he asked his kids Exton and Avri to shave his head. He posted a cute video of the procedure on Instagram. He also wore a burgundy windbreaker jacket, a pink buttoned-down shirt and navy blue pants.

Many fans were surprised by the actor’s new look, as he was nearly unrecognizable in the wig and makeup. However, Downey’s dedication to his craft is evident in his willingness to undergo such a drastic transformation for the role. The series “The Sympathizer” is set to air on HBO in 2022.
