The Rock On The Huge Promise He Made To Himself After WWE Exit

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is certainly one of the biggest names in pro wrestling as well as in Hollywood. The Rock is known for a lot of things in his life and family is most certainly one of them. The Rock always makes sure fans know he truly loves his family, which is something he will never compromise on no matter what. In fact, he made a promise to himself after his WWE departure that had to do with his family.

The Brahma Bull is certainly one of the most beloved celebrities in the world right now because of his benevolence, among other things. This is especially because The Rock loves helping out the poor and people who are going through rough patches in their lives.

During the early 2000s, The Rock became the biggest name in professional wrestling.  It was during this period that his first daughter was born. Simone Johnson was born on August 14th when Rock was at the peak of his career in WWE.

While he had dipped his toes in Hollywood by then, The Rock was still considered a full-time WWE Superstar. That eventually changed by 2003, when he started making very few appearances.

The People’s Champion took to his Instagram and uploaded a video where he can be seen explaining that once he left WWE he made a promise to himself to not do anything that takes away from his role of being “dad.”

I know a lot of you men out there understand me when I say, of all the roles us men play in our daily hustle and grind of life – my favorite one of all, is “dad”.

I know what it’s like to have a job you love (pro wrestler) and yet it takes you away from the thing you love most (your first born child) from years of being on the road wrestling. I made a promise that I would never do business in anything again that took me away from my family.

That’s why these days I do my best to protect “being dad” with all I got to my three daughters.

WWE also seemingly dropped a tease for The Rock’s return during the Royal Rumble this year. The Rock will likely duke it out with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, so a return from The Great One is more or less expected. It remains to be seen whether he will return at the event.
