Dana White is known to be a very controversial figure in the MMA world for a wide variety of reasons. This is largely due to the way he has handled the issue of UFC fighters not getting the payment they truly deserve. Be that as it may, Dana White is currently under fire after he ended up slapping his wife on New Year’s Eve. White has been in the process of getting canceled, which included his Power Slap League getting postponed by TBS. However, it seems the postponement was done for a good reason.
As previously reported, Dana White and his wife slapped each other on New Year’s Eve, something that no one at the Cabo San Lucas nightclub expected. People simply did not get just how serious this incident would turn out and how badly it would end up affecting Dana White in the long run.
To the shock of absolutely no one, TBS ended up pulling Dana White’s Power Slap show. Fans automatically assumed this was due to Dana White’s shocking incident but it seems that is not the case.
While speaking at the UFC Fight Night 217 post-fight press conference, Dana White talked bout his Power Slap League show. White stated that plans for a media tour to promote the new show were halted after the incident, which led to the show getting delayed.
“We pushed it back a week because I was supposed to come back and do, like, this whole media tour, which obviously wasn’t gonna happen when I got back.”
Mexican laws also might prevent the full details of Dana White’s slapping incident from being released for public knowledge. Dana White has also not been punished for the slapping incident. It remains to be seen what will become of Dana White in the end.
