For a long time, Ngannou’s status remained in question. In fact, even Mike Tyson believed Ngannou can make a great payday in boxing. That being said, it seems his time in the UFC is over.
Ariel Helwani took to Twitter and reported that Francis Ngannou is longer part of the UFC. He added that the UFC Heavyweight Championship is now vacant and that Dana White claimed to have offered a historic deal to Ngannou, but Ngannou turned it down.
Francis Ngannou is officially clear to sign a deal with someone else. White says they are going to wave any right to match and let him go elsewhere. He is no longer the UFC heavyweight champion. White says they offered him a deal that would have made him the highest paid HW ever.
