Jade Cargill has proven herself to be one of the dominant female stars in AEW in a very short span of time. The current AEW TBS champion’s supposed feud with rapper Bow Wow was making waves. That being said, Cargill recently spoke about all that Bow Wow talk coming to an abrupt end.
The 30-year-old star tenure’s in AEW saw her encounter the music sensation Bow Wow. Jade Cargill got into a social media exchange with him leading up to a storyline on AEW programming. This led to Cargill confronting Bow Wow backstage at one of his concerts.
The angle also saw their confrontation footage used on AEW television on the November 30th, 2022, episode of AEW Dynamite, with Bow Wow appearing on screen right after to let Jade Cargill know that he would see her soon. Since then, there has been no major follow-up to this storyline. Jade recently revealed that AEW moved on from the storyline, during an interview with Bootleg Kev.
“I don’t know what happened with it. Something was supposed to happen, it didn’t happen, and we moved on from the situation.”
Jade Cargill debuted in AEW back on the November 11th, 2020 edition of Dynamite. Tony Khan subsequently signed her to a multi-year contract with hopes of making her a top attraction of the AEW women’s division, something she conquered with her hard work and talent.
There is no word on whether Bow Wow would be appearing on AEW TV again to continue the storyline. Jade Cargill, on the hand, recently became the longest-reigning AEW TBS champion on January 14, holding the title for one complete calendar year.
