LeBron James has left an indelible mark on the world of professional basketball, his contributions and impact will always be remembered. His skill, athleticism, and leadership have cemented him as one of the greatest to ever play the game. Many regard him as the true GOAT, and it is not hard to understand why. It seems there is also the belief he is more likely than not to end his career as a Laker.
Earlier last year, James made it clear that he is not against making a return to one of his previous teams – the Cleaveland Cavaliers. James made this announcement after stating in the past he wants to end his NBA career as part of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Naturally, fans were not happy with what LeBron James said. During his exit interview for the season, James revealed that he cannot talk about his future with the Los Angeles Lakers.
James would then sign a two-year, $97.1 million contract extension last year. That being said, the Lakers have been performing terribly this season as they are the third-worst team in the Western Conference. Due to this, many believe James might just be traded.
The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 9, yet LeBron cannot be traded until Feb. 14 because of the contract extension. According to David Aldridge of the Athletic, Aldbrige stated that James is more likely than not to end his career as a laker.
It’s obviously more likely than not that LeBron James finishes his career as a Laker. But on the off chance his desire for more titles doesn’t mesh w/the pace of L.A.’s team construction, are there deals this summer that would make sense? In@TheAthletic
LeBron James is also nearing an all-time record in the NBA. That being said, we will have to wait and see whether King James will end up leaving the Los Angeles Lakers in the future.
